PEGASE co-organizes the 64th congress of EAAP

The annual congress of the European Federation of Animal Science (EAAP) is intended for researchers and professionals in the field of animal production.

For this 64th edition, the focus will be on the new challenges for animal production for diversified territories, market demands and societal expectations.

With 50 thematic sessions, the scientific program covers the different approaches in animal production: genetics, nutrition and feeding, reproduction, lactation, growth, health and animal welfare, quality of animal products, farming systems for cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and horses.

More than a thousand researchers and professionals are expected to attend the congress and they will share and exchange during five days recent knowledge in these areas.

The conference will take place in Nantes from August 26th to 30th 2013

The following sessions will be chaired by PEGASE scientists:

  • Education in Animal Science for the future (Catherine Disenhaus)
  • Feed efficiency in ruminants (Philippe Faverdin)
  • Milking physiology of sheep and goats (Pierre-Guy Marnet)
  • Physiology: Free communications (Hélène Quesnel)
